Our Heritage

Agility Global owns a portfolio of businesses and assets that have generated growth and transformed markets for three decades. The logistics parks business, our oldest, was founded in Kuwait and grew to become the largest private developer and operator of industrial infrastructure and warehousing in the Middle East and Africa. Our aviation services business started at a single airport in Kuwait in 2003. Today, after combining with Menzies Aviation, it is the world’s largest aviation services providers. Tristar is a global fuel logistics provider, a pioneer in third-party logistics for the energy industry, and a leader in development of safety practices, new technology and logistics for cleaner, alternative fuels. 

Agility Global also holds minority shares in a portfolio of listed and non-listed companies. Agility Global’s investment’s include a 9% stake in DSV, a global top 3PL player in logistics and transporation, a stake in the Reem mega-mall in Abu Dhabi, and stakes in Middle Eastern logistics and real estate businesses in Qatar and Kuwait. Through its venture capital arm, Agility Ventures, it also invests in  emerging technology companies.

Roots as a local industrial real estate company in Kuwait, building and leasing warehousing facilities. Built high quality warehousing infrastructure at scale in the region.

Growing into a Global Logistics Player
Expanded footprint through the acquisition of more than 40 logistics companies around the world, integrating them into Global Integrated Logistics (GIL).

Set up an aviation services company, NAS, focused on emerging markets.

Acquired Tristar, a Dubai-based fuel logistics specialist.

Expanded the footprint of Agility Logistics Parks (ALP).

Diversified Portfolio and Value Creation
GIL grew to be a top 20 global freight forwarder.

Meanwhile, ALP expanded into South Asia and Africa and became one of the largest private owners and developers of industrial real estate in the Middle East and Africa.

NAS also expanded into Africa.

Tristar added to its fleet of tanker ships with the aquisition of Eships. Work began on the $1.3 billion Reem Mall in Abu Dhabi, a key investment.

Fueling Future Growth
In 2021, GIL was acquired by DSV, the world’s third-largest freight forwarder, for shares valued at $4.2 billion; Agility became of one of DSV’s largest investors.

In 2022, Menzies Aviation was acquired and combined with NAS to create the world’s largest aviation services provider by number of countries served.

ALP expanded in Saudi Arabia, growing its platform.

Tristar acquired 51% of HG Storage International, owner of oil storage, distribution, and retail assets.

Crystallizing Value of Agility Global
In May 2024, Agility Global listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. Today, Agility Global manages Menzies, ALP, Tristar and a 9% stake in DSV, among other assets.
